Is there affordable dental insurance available for a teacher that missed the sign up date for state dental?

I have state medical insurance in Mississippi, but I didn’t sign up in time for the dental insurance. Is there a good company that would charge a reasonable rate for dental insurance?

    I would encourage you to visit this great website: I signed up online over 5 years ago now, they have saved me thousands of dollars of over the years. From root canals, crowns, xrays, exams..etc. All services are included in this very affordable plan. Even my braces…They had my plan active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. I have insurance also, but I use this plan when I meet my limits or there is something this not covered by my insurance. good luck and hope this helps.

    Before you do ANYTHING, make sure to consult the school district first. Sometimes they will let you sign on with a late entrant penalty if you didn’t initially sign up when you were hired. These typically are 12 months,… in which all you are eligible for are cleanings, child flouride and other preventive procedures. The reason being, is that dental insurance companies will now think you have a major claim to file, and this they make you pay and wait 12 months so that they can recoup some of that loss from the claim. But at the end of the year, you have comprehensive dental insurance.

    Trying to get individual dental insurance on your own would be MASSIVELY expensive,… and you might as well, pay out of pocket… especially if all you’re getting is a couple fillings or exams. For crowns… start saving up. Either way you’re gonna pay… welcome to the U.S.A. Sorry that i couldn’t give a better answer.

    healthplans.my-age.net – my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.
