I would encourage you to visit this great site: I signed up online over 5 years ago when I was in college and they have saved me thousands of dollars on all of my dental services since. From crowns, xrays, fillings, extractions, Cleanings, and even my braces. The great thing is like you, I needed a whole lot of work done also and with no limitations on the benefits I was able to use them as frequent as I needed to. They even had my affordable benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Good luck and Hope this helps
It depends on the type of dental work you need to have done and which type of dental insurance or dental discount plan you intend to purchase. Major dental work such as crowns root canals may be better handled through a dental discount plan (but not always). This type of plan negotiates a set cost in advance, you purchase the plan and show your discount card at the dental office. Dental insurance may work for you as well for preventive type dental work.
Here are a few other questions that will be important to you. (1) Do you plan to stay with the same dentist for future work; (2) If you move in the future can you use the dental plan in another city, town or state; and (3) you need to balance the cost of the dental plan against the savings you expect for the dental procedures you get.
I hope this dental insurance information has helped.
