Excellent Smiles

Without bringing comparisons, I wonder what this gentleman has accomplished in his life . He is an excellent speaker, offers change and hope. In order to become President, someone has to show more than a smile and nice words.
His accomplishements in Chicago were mediocre and he has only been a Senator for a little over a year. I know he has had dealings with someone who was indicted, had contacts with a couple who were terrorists and attended a Church led by a looney. What else has he done?
Please enlighten me with an objective response.
